The Garden Room

Rosie Schilling ~ Garden Room Guide

Discovering Montessori and its hands-on method for learning was a turning point for me over a decade ago. It matched my style of working with children thus far and inspired me to pursue it as a lifelong career. I have since completed two Montessori certificates, North American Montessori Center (NAMC) and Association of Montessori International (AMI). Before finding a passion for teaching, I completed an art degree in ceramics and soon after started a metalsmith jewelry business. During off seasons, I would run nannying pods and camps at Children's science museums. This began my love of working with three to six year olds. This fall will be my eighth year teaching in Montessori environments.

Working with young children lead by the intergrous Montessori method has truly brought me joy. In the Garden Room, I will contribute; playing ukulele/music with children, children's yoga, American sign language, gardening, basic carpentry, dance, and all forms of art to the classroom. I am also fluent in conversational French.
