SUNGARDEN MONTESSORI ADMISSIONS PROCESS

1) Attend An Informational Open House

Our Open House events are an opportunity for you and your child to visit SunGarden and learn more about our school. The Open House is a chance to meet our staff and explore the various environments of the school to determine if SunGarden might be a good fit for your family.

2) Schedule a Tour and Classroom Observation

After attending an Open House, you will have the opportunity to schedule a school tour to meet with SunGarden’s Administrator, Yvette Cushman-Baton. Our tours typically last 30-45 minutes, during which time we will discuss your child’s individual needs and how the Montessori philosophy at SunGarden supports each child on their own path to learning. In addition, you will have an opportunity to visit and observe our classrooms and outdoor learning environments to see the children and teacher’s interactions.

3) Submit Your Application

For best consideration, please have your application turned in by the 2018-2019 enrollment deadline of February 28, 2018. Applications can be submitted in person or via email. A non-refundable fee of $125 must be submitted with each application.

We fill spaces as they become available in accordance with our enrollment guidelines. We consider balancing enrollment for age and gender, suitability of the child and the family to the Montessori approach, and (if applicable) prior Montessori experience. Above all, we seek families who are willing to commit to a partnership with SunGarden in providing their children with the best possible Montessori and early learning experience. Therefore, acceptance into the program is determined based on program availability, and each family’s commitment to the above-noted factors. If no opening is available for immediate consideration or your enrollment is for a future enrollment cycle, we will place your application on a waiting list.

 4) Acceptance And Enrollment

Once you are accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter and enrollment agreement no later than one month past the enrollment deadline. A completed enrollment agreement and returned tuition deposit will reserve your child’s space at SunGarden Montessori.
