Enrollment

Our Admissions Process

We welcome interested parents/guardians to call our office to schedule a tour and observation in our children’s communities. At the time of your observation, we will talk with you about our philosophy and program, as well as your hopes and expectations for your child. You may take an application at this time.

If you feel SunGarden is a good fit for your child & family, please fill out and return our admissions application with the registration fee.

An Open House for all parents who have applied will be held in the spring to more fully explain our approach to education and answer your questions.

A second Open House will be held later in the spring for children enrolled for the fall & their parents.

In August, each child will be invited for a visit to become acquainted with the guide and the environment. At this time, parents will meet with Ann, our administrator.

Our Admissions Policy

With the understanding that consistency and continuity are vital to young children’s optimal development, we give preference in admissions to families who commit to embracing the Montessori philosophy in their homes and manner with their children, and to families who commit to allowing their child the full Montessori experience (which includes the kindergarten year).

We file all applications in the order they are received, however, admission is granted based on the availability in each community in our effort to balance the groups based on age and gender.

We follow the letter and spirit of all equal opportunity and civil rights laws.

Our Schedule and Tuition

With the awareness that consistency is so important to young children and a routine children can count on supports their comfort and confidence, children attend SunGarden 5 days/week, half (8:30-12:00) or full days (8:30-3:00), depending upon age and readiness for a longer day of full engagement.

2011-2012 monthly tuitions:

Mornings (8:30 – 12:00) $585
Full days (8:30 – 3:00) $805
Beforecare (8:00 – 8:30) $40
Aftercare (3:00 – 5:30) $150

Please note that these tuition amounts include our $150 program fee.

Beginning in 2010 we introduced our new Siesta program
(12:00-3:00) for a small group of younger children with the focus being on
social activities and relaxed play.
